Imagine if Jesus crossed a stormy sea, not to preach to crowds or perform grand miracles, but for one broken man—an outcast so bound by darkness that he lived among the dead. What does this tell us about His heart for the one?
This message focuses on home missions and the profound impact of reaching those nearby with the love of Christ. In Mark 5, Jesus crosses the lake to meet a man consumed by unimaginable bondage: isolated from society, tormented by darkness, and living among the tombs. Despite the man’s brokenness, Jesus was not deterred. He delivered him from his oppression, restoring his life and giving him a mission: “Go home to your friends and tell them what the Lord has done for you.” This story highlights the call for believers to step into the lives of those around them, offering hope and freedom through the name of Jesus.
This is not just a story of freedom; it’s a call to action for all of us. What if your mission field is as close as the home across the street? What if the miracle God wants to do in someone’s life starts with you? Let’s explore together how we can carry this message of freedom to those near us. You’ll leave inspired, equipped, and ready to embrace the mission God has placed right where you are
WELCOME!
Whether you are here for the first time or the fourth time, we'd love to connect with you and help you get oriented and find your place within our church. As a bonus, we will donate $5 for every new connection we receive to a charity that we are passionate about supporting. Currently, we are supporting Flow Without Bounds Ministries, a local outreach serving the Kin Village and Trinity Square neighborhoods. Your participation helps support their mission to transform lives through practical care, mentorship, and sharing the love of Jesus Christ.
CHILDREN'S DISCIPLESHIPSHIP PROGRAM
We are committed to equipping families with lessons and tools to help children look to God for answers. Here’s how we engage your children during the service:
Service Schedule: Please check in your child at the desk upstairs before the service. Children stay with their families for the first 15 minutes of the service and are then dismissed to their classes.
Power Up! (Birth - Grade 5):
- Pre-School Program (18 months - 3 years): Room 3 is now open for toddlers, led by Ms. Verna and other leaders. During the “What’s Happening in Power Up!?” moment, please accompany your toddler to the front of the sanctuary, and then to Room 3 for their class. Parents will wait outside while children enter the classroom.
- School Aged Program (Kindergarten - Grade 5): This program remains the same for kindergarten to grade 5. Children will be dismissed ~15 minutes after the service starts, following the “What’s Happening in Power Up!?” moment. Learn more >>
- Nursery & Parent Supervision (Under 18 months and others who need it): Room 4 and the lobby are open for parents who wish to stay with their younger children or those who need extra supervision, with livestream of the service.
Extension (Gr. 6 - 8):
- Youth typically head downstairs to Room 10 after dismissal (~15 minutes into the service). However, on the first Sunday of each month (Communion Sunday), Youth will remain in the service. Learn more >>
Grades 9 and above stay in the service every Sunday.
