We are very excited to announce that we have entered into a partnership with Urban Farm Initiative to use our empty land for a community garden! With over a year of planning and getting permits, we are so glad to see the work begin in 2023!
Cast your gaze out to the north lot next time you come to Unionville Alliance Church and watch as it progresses along. The yield helps support our Master's Pantry food bank over the season. Currently our Masters Pantry program helps to feed 120-150 people every two weeks.
Want to get involved?
We hope to expand our community garden this year (2024) by 2000-3000 sq ft.
Lots of cardboard are needed by early May, and they can be dropped off in the church lobby's back room (library).
The cardboard will be used for weeding control, so they can't have shiny printed surfaces, tape or metal nails.
