SERVING OUR NEIGHBOURS

Giving back through Master's Pantry, Toronto Alliance Church, and more...

REACHING OUT TO THE DISENFRANCHISED AND HURTING

We believe that caring for our neighbours is a priority for every believer. Our faith is to reflect the care and mercy of God by showing compassion and practical assistance to those of our community who require help.

"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40

Master's Pantry

Our UAC Master's Pantry has been a pillar in the York Region community since 1993, providing over 100 families with monthly sustenance through fresh food, canned goods, and other essential items. Our Master's Pantry food bank is open for use once a month. Although, we regularly host two separate pantries per month, we ask that people attend only one to help us serve as many families as possible.

Christmas Hampers of Hope

The Christmas Hampers of Hope initiative continues its 30-year tradition of sharing Christmas joy with families by offering a helping hand to neighbourhood families experiencing financial challenges. Since 1993, with the support of many volunteers and donations from our congregation, corporate sponsors and other community groups, we unite to bring the warmth and celebration of Christmas with families in the Markham, Stouffville, and Richmond Hill area, inviting them to join in the holiday festivities.

Toronto Alliance Church Community Outreach

Five times a year we partner with Toronto Alliance Church (TAC) and take a team downtown to prepare and serve dinner to over 100 people who are in need or on the streets. Typically, we go the fourth Saturday of January, March, May, July, September and November.

Grief Support and Care

We offer grief care primarily to our church community through the "Journeying through Grief" series by Stephen Ministries. This program provides four thoughtful books sent at key points during the first year after a loss, offering comfort and biblical insights. While our focus is on supporting our church family, we are also open to extending this care to our neighbors who are experiencing grief and seeking support. If you'd like to learn more or need assistance, please contact us for guidance and support.

Community Care Fund

Giving financially is an essential part of our mission and significantly supports our programs. We have a designated fund specifically for our food bank, Christmas Hampers, outreach to those experiencing homelessness, grief care, and providing one-time financial aid to those in need. If you would like to contribute to this fund, please note "Community Care Fund" in the memo line of your donation. Your donations to the Community Care Fund play a crucial role in offering help, hope, and a brighter future to many people.
